What Is a Featured Job?
A featured job on your job board is distinguished by a yellow highlight. While a featured job has the same elements as a standard job posting, it tends to get 2x more viewers as it will stand out in the list of jobs that are available on your job board.
As you can see, while all the jobs have similar visibility, the highlighted job has a better chance of grabbing the visitor’s attention.
How to Sell A Featured Job Listing?
As mentioned above, featured jobs get an average of 2x more views which means they also get an average of 2x more applicants. This additional reach will give you the opportunity to upsell by adding a special package that will automatically feature the jobs the employer posts after purchasing the package, giving the employers the option to upgrade their package for better reach.
You will be able to configure the special package based on your preferences. All you have to do is enable the “Featured Posted Jobs” option for the product and proceed on inserting the number of days you have offered to feature the jobs for:
How to Manually Set Featured Jobs?
To manually set jobs as “Featured”, navigate to Jobs from your jBoard admin panel and click on the title of the job you want to feature.
Once you’re in the editing mode, scroll down to the end and select the “Mark as Featured” option, then proceed with adding the number of days you want the job to be featured for:
How Does The Featured Expiration Work?
The “Featured Expires In Days” section counts the days based on the published date, for example:
If you published the job today and set “Featured Expires In 30 Days”, the job will be featured for 30 days.
If you published the job 15 days ago, and set “Featured Expires In 30 Days” today, the job will be featured for 15 days, as the expiration date is connected to the initial posting date.
If you published the job 40 days ago, and set “Featured Expires In 30 Days” today, the job will not be featured, as 30 days have already passed from the initial posting date.
Note: The expiration of the job itself overrides the expiration date of the featured.
Where Will The Featured Post Appear On The Job Board?
The listed jobs on your job board are sorted by recency (new to old), the same applies for featured jobs.
