How to Use Placeholders in SEO Titles and Descriptions?
To avoid duplicate meta descriptions across your job board and improve SEO, it’s important to use placeholders correctly in the SEO Tools > SEO Titles & Descriptions section of your dashboard.

Note: You can only use placeholders that are already included in the title for that section.
Placeholders dynamically pull in content (like category names, job titles, or locations) to create unique SEO titles and descriptions for each page. This helps search engines better understand and index your pages, while preventing duplication issues.
Use placeholders in both the title and the description fields.
Make sure placeholders are written in all caps and start with a colon (:).
Example placeholders:
:CATEGORY_NAME
:LOCATION_NAME
:JOB_TITLE
Instead of writing a static meta description like:
“Browse open jobs in this category.”
Use a dynamic one:
“Browse the latest :CATEGORY_NAME jobs available now.”
This way, each category page will generate a unique description, such as:
“Browse the latest Marketing jobs available now.”
“Browse the latest Engineering jobs available now.”
If your SEO titles already include placeholders like :CATEGORY_NAME, you can safely use the same ones in the description. Just double-check that they’re properly formatted (capitalized with a leading colon) so the system can recognize and apply them.

Note: You can only use placeholders that are already included in the title for that section.
