Setting Up Cloudflare for Your Job Board’s Domain
In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to connect your domain to Cloudflare, enable proxying, and turn on bot protection to help prevent unwanted traffic.
To put your domain behind Cloudflare protection, you’ll first need to connect your domain to Cloudflare by updating your current nameservers to the ones provided by Cloudflare.
Start by signing up for a Cloudflare account. The free plan is sufficient for enabling basic protection and performance features.
Once signed in, add your root domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) in the following field. Make sure to select the Quick Scan option so Cloudflare can automatically detect and replicate your existing DNS records and click on Continue.

After the scan, double-check that all your DNS records have been imported correctly and the A records have their Proxied Status turned on, and then click on Continue Activation.

In the final step of the transfer, Cloudflare will provide you with two nameservers, which you’ll need to copy and replace in your current domain provider’s nameserver settings.

In this example, we’ll use GoDaddy to demonstrate how to update your nameservers, but the steps are similar for most domain registrars.
In the DNS management zone, click on the Nameservers tab and then Change Nameservers

Then paste the each nameserver copied from Cloudflare in its respective field and Save

Once the changes are complete, click Check Nameservers Now to prompt Cloudflare to verify the update. This process can take up to 24 hours.

From the left panel in Cloudflare, navigate to SSL/TLS > Overview and change the Flexible encryption mode (Which Cloudflare sets by default) to Full (Strict)

Now that your domain is connected to Cloudflare, you also have the option to enable advanced bot protection for your job board. Learn how in this help guide: How to Set Up Bot Protection for Your Job Board?
