How to Limit Location Search to a Country or Area?
By default, when job seekers or employers type a location on your job board, suggestions come from anywhere in the world. If your board serves one country or region, you can limit location search so only places inside your chosen countries or an area you draw on a map are suggested.
For example, if you limit search to the United Kingdom, someone typing "Lon" will see London, UK and Londonderry, UK, but not London, Ontario in Canada.
Where to find the setting
Step 1. From your dashboard, click Job Board Settings in the left menu.

Step 2. Under General, click Localization.

Step 3. Scroll down to Location Search Settings.

Set the autocomplete language
In Autocomplete language, choose the language that location suggestions should appear in (for example, English).
Option 1: Limit to one or more countries
Use this when your board covers whole countries.
- In Limit autocomplete search, choose Limit to countries.
- Click the Search within country(s) field and start typing a country name, for example United Kingdom.
- Select the country from the list. Repeat to add more countries if needed.
- Make sure Search worldwide is unchecked.
- Click Update to save.

Location search on your board will now only suggest places in the countries you selected.
Option 2: Limit to a bounding box on the map
Use this when your board covers a specific city or region, rather than a whole country.
- In Limit autocomplete search, choose Limit to bounding box. A map appears.
- Zoom and drag the map to your area, for example London.
- Click the square icon on the left side of the map.
- Click and drag on the map to draw a box around the area you want to include.
- Click Update to save.

Location search will now only suggest places inside the box you drew.
Tip: To redraw the area, click the trash icon under the square icon to remove the current box, then draw a new one.
Remove the limit
To allow locations from anywhere again, set Limit autocomplete search back to Do not limit and click Update.
