How To Have Multiple Languages For My Job Board?

Translating a website can be a daunting task especially if your target audience extends to more than one country. The following guide will cover the step-by-step instructions you should take in order to make your job board multi-lingual.

If you wish to have your job board in only one language which isn’t English, you can achieve that within our UI by simply following the steps mentioned in this article

How To Add Multiple Languages to Your JBoard?

In order to add additional language to your job board, you will need to use a third-party translation tool. Tools like Bablic help you translate your job board in minutes. You can either benefit from their machine translation feature, or just right-click on any element (text, images, buttons, forms, etc.) to manually edit the texts using their editor.

If you'd like to explore your options, we will add some other similar tools at the end of this article.

So, let's dive in!

Step 1: Head Over To Bablic & Create an Account With Your Custom Domain

To navigate to Bablic's Interface Click Here and proceed with creating an account using the custom domain you connected to JBoard

If you’re still trying out the platform and haven’t linked your custom domain, you can add your JBoard Subdomain (example.myjboard.io)

Step 2: Select The Language(s) You Want To Add

Once you have created an account and added your job board's domain, you should proceed with adding your preferred language(s) to begin the translation process.

Step 3: Integrate to Your Job Board

Now that you have selected the language(s), you will need to integrate Bablic's snippet onto your job board. To copy your snippet, click on Copy To Clipboard found in the Snippet Info Section.

Once you have copied the snippet, head over to your JBoard's Dashboard, navigate to the Job Board Settings page then General > Custom Code proceed with pasting the Snippet in the <head> tag and click Update!

After embedding the snippet into your JBoard, head back to Bablic and click on Validate Snippet Placement to make sure it was embedded correctly.

Step 4: Edit Translations Manually

Now that you have added the language and embedded the snippet, navigate to Bablic's Visual Editor > Select the language you have added and you will see a preview of your translated job board.

In case you need to make some edits to polish the results by the machine translation, hover over to the text and simply Right Click > Edit Text

Step 5: Customize Widget

You're almost there! Now you just have to customize the language-switcher widget so that it matches with your job board's aesthetic.

The widget is basically what your visitors will click on to navigate between different languages on your job board. You can customize it from Bablic's Visual Editor by clicking on Options > Customize Widget

Through this option, you will be able to design your widget for both Mobile and Desktop. In addition to that, you can change it's Color, Placement, Label and Size.

Now that you have configured everything, click on Publish Changes on Bablic and it's time to preview your job board to make sure everything is set up correctly.
